The Spanish General Council of the Judiciary has awarded the Rafael Martínez Emperador Prize to the President of the Maiestas Foundation, Rafael Domingo Oslé, for his unpublished work What is Global Law?
The Rafael Martínez Emperador Prize, consisting of 18,000 euros and the publication of the book, is one of the most prestigious legal prizes in Spain. Every year, it is awarded for an unpublished book on an issue of current interest which is defined in the terms of the competition. The theme for this year was "Globalization and Justice". The jury consisted of the President, two Members and the Secretary of the General Council of the Judiciary in Spain, as well as a High Court Judge, a High Court Prosecutor and a Full Professor of Law.
Rafael Domingo has expressed his gratitude to the General Council of the Judiciary for their "recognition of a year's work", as well as thanking the University of Navarra, the Garrigues Foundation and the Association of Land Registrars of Spain "for their institutional aid which has enabled me to devote my time intensively to researching and developing ideas about the new Global Law”.
